Description
An exquisite round Antique Edwardian locket modelled in 9ct Yellow Gold which has turned a rosy hue with age. It features beautiful floral engraving across both sides depicting wreaths of Forget me nots.
Forget me nots carry a long-lasting symbolism of love and remembrance which is why they were popularly featured on lockets containing images of loved ones.
A previous owners initials (R.S.A) have also been etched onto the front of the locket in an over-lapping and rather extravagant fashion.
It is a wonderful piece that opens up with room to add two large photographs inside. It is Birmingham hallmarked and dates the piece to 1910.
