A beautiful antique Suffragette ring made in Glasgow in 1902. The gallery is all 18ct gold and claw set with two peridots and four old cut diamonds with a large amethyst in the centre weighing approx. 0.60ct.

The combination of gemstone colours was often used to show support for the womens Suffrage movement which took place in the early 20th Century and symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!

The ring was originally given as a gift and features a message inside the shank that reads: H.M. to E.M. 25/12/03. Its very sweet and is accompanied by clear Glasgow hallmarks beside it.
