Description
A stylish antique French guard chain from the late 19th Century made up of 15ct gold cable links, interspersed with longer, faceted links with a rope edge centre. A large ring clasp is also fitted at the end and would have traditionally been adorned with a pocket watch or lorgnette.
It measures 56 inches in length and can be worn as one long chain or looped twice around the neck if preferred.
