A pretty Antique Victorian sentiment ring from the mid 19th Century featuring a cluster of colourful gemstones which spell out the acronym Dearest with each first letter: Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz.
Sentiment rings or DEAREST rings were popular in the Victorian era and were used to express a secret romantic message to their loved one spelt out in gemstones reminding them how dear they were to their heart.
The workmanship is exquisite with scrolling open-worked shoulders leading into an engraved band. Its all 18ct Gold and would make a wonderful gift for your nearest and dearest.
