Description
A wonderful Antique Victorian Purse charm fashioned in 18ct Yellow Gold with a shield and intricate floral engraving on both sides. The locket splits in two at the top to reveal two small windows with locks of brown hair stored safely behind.
Mourning jewellery was worn in remembrance of a deceased loved one and sometimes contained a lock of their hair so that a piece of them was always kept close to the wearer. The hair can be removed if preferred so that you can add your own mementos.
Its a unique antique treasure and would look beautiful on a gold chain or as a bracelet charm.
