A magnificent Vintage Amethyst cocktail ring claw set with an imposing deep violet Amethyst weighing approx. 12ct and haloed by twenty superb quality Brilliant cut Diamonds which total to approx. 1.20ct.
Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and deep purple colouring which has adorned regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The stones are set in an extravagant White Gold face with a wonderful ornate under gallery which leads into an 18ct Yellow Gold shank.
Its a striking statement piece and complete with London hallmarks inside the shank which indicate it was made in the mid to late 20th Century.
