This exquisite Lapis Lazuli signet ring was made in London in 1978. It boasts a wonderful, blue Lapis Lazuli on the front with beautiful, natural patterning.
Lapis Lazuli has been prized since ancient times for its vibrant colouring and was considered a stone of the powerful and divine. Its name comes from the Persian word Lazhuward meaning blue and the Arabic word Lazaward meaning Heaven or sky.
The stone is set in a robust 9ct gold gallery with intricate, scrolling patterning engraved down each shoulder. It would make a grand statement piece and is fully hallmarked within the shank.
